Mahila Dakshata Samiti (MDS) , for past 30 years has been committed in creating a society where women get the freedom, equality & education they deserve.
Specially the girls belonging to lower economic strata, who passed their secondary education in villages generally discontinue their education. In order to help such students pursue their dreams, educational institutions with hostel facility is provided at the same campus. Students comprise of orphans, girls with single parent and girls whose parents are agricultural labourers, and/or daily wage earners belonging to Telangana, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

Dr. Saroj Bajaj stands as a beacon of inspiration and compassion in the realm of education and social empowerment. As the visionary founder of Mahila Dakshata Samiti (MDS) AP/TS, she dedicated to uplifting the lives of underprivileged girls from low socio-economic backgrounds.
Dr. Bajaj has committed her life to fostering positive change through education. Her unwavering belief in the transformative power of knowledge has propelled her to establish and lead initiatives aimed at providing quality education to those who face barriers due to economic hardships.
VISION
Driven by a profound sense of social responsibility, she has become a driving force in breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality, ensuring that every girl, regardless of her economic circumstances, is given the opportunity to build a brighter future through education.
Dr. Saroj Bajaj's dedication to this noble cause reflects not only in the organization but also in the countless lives she has touched and transformed along the way.
OBJECTIVE
Mahila Dakshata Samiti (MDS), is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, bearing Registration Number 8995 of 16 January 1978. MDS is a Non-Government, non-political, non-sectarian National Body of Woman and Child Welfare.
Smt. Suman Krishna Kanth has commenced its operation 38 years back with only 15 influential women. MDS is a service oriented organization that has been focusing on the field of social service for the past three decades. Dr. Saroj Bajaj, the then, Vice President (India) & Present President of MDS, Telangana and AP States along with a dedicated team of members started ‘Suman Nilayam’ a hostel for working women at Gangaram. The foundation stone was laid on 28-04-1993 by “Sri Krishnakanth”, the then Governor of A.P.
